Motorola's Launched the FlipOut in India

Motorola's launched the Android 2.1 powered, five row QWERTY keypad phone in India. The QWERTY keypad includes a separate row for numeric keys. The FlipOut also features up to seven customizable screens and live wallpapers. It comes with multitouch pinch to zoom, and is Adobe Flash enabled. For music fans, FLIPOUT has a connected media player that offers full screen lyric support, integrated song ID and a social solution for knowing what people around you are listening to.

The phone comes with a 3 MP camera with built-in Kodak Perfect Touch technology and one-touch add to Facebook and Myspace capabilities. It is capable of video recording, streaming and playback in H.264,  MPEG4 and WMV v9. The phone also comes with Crystal Talk Plus which is an added microphone to improve "a caller's voice quality" while filtering out background sound. Bands/modes include 850/2100, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (Category 5/6), EDGE Class 12, GPRS Class 12, HSUPA 2.0 Mbps, eCompass/aGPS. It has a 2.8 inch display and is capable of talk time up to 357 mins and standby time up to 365 hrs. Messaging/web/apps include MMS,  SMS, Email (Corporate Sync, POP3/IMAP embedded,  Push Email) IM (Embedded - WVIM), Android HTML WebKit with Adobe Flash Lite 3. It has connectivity with 0.35cm (3.5mm) headset jack, USB 2.0 HS, FOTA,  NGP. The FlipOut also comes with Stereo  Bluetooth Class 2, version 2.1 + EDR. It has aGPS (assisted) location services.
The phone comes with four colours for battery covers: Licorice (Black), Fairway Green, Poppy Red and White.
So, here's how we know this phone is definitely aimed at women (yeah, the colours and shape were a solid hint but here's the punch). When you buy a FlipOut, you get Rs. 1000 worth of services for free at Lakme Salons.  The phone is available for a best buy price of Rs. 15,990 (MRP: Rs. 16,990).
