Windows Phone 8

On June 20, 2012, Microsoft unveiled Windows Phone 8, a new generation of the operating system For Mobiles(Now they are known as Smartphones "geeky term"). Windows Phone 8 will replace its previously Windows CE-based architecture with one based off the Windows NT kernel with many components shared with Windows 8, allowing applications to be easily ported between the two platforms.

One of the Best thing in any Mobi OS to port the Same Application in all your Devices either Windows 8 Tablets,PC's and Mobile.

The features that come out with windows Phone 8 are :

1.Larger Screen Resolution.
2.NFC(Near Field Communication),Main Use as Contactless Smart Cards.
3.Backward Compatibility with windows phone previous versions like(7,7.5,7.8).
4.Improved removable storage(Similar to Android or windows).
5.Improved design,completely changed with Resizable tiles option.(MetroUI is all time favorite).

One of the Cons of windows phone 8 is that it will not be available as an update to windows phone 7 devices.(severe for existing windows phone users). However , the existing windows phone 7 user will get an update win phone 7.8 which include some features of 8 including redesigned home screen.

On AUG 29 2012,Samsung announced the very first publicly revealed phone to run windows phone 8 i.e. Samsung ATIV S.
